At the Biennial Organizational Meeting precinct committee persons choose the executive officers of the county party. This special meeting must be held between either ten days before of ten days after the county convention.
At this organizational meeting the following business must be completed by the county central committee:
- Elect a County Party Chair
- Elect a County Party Vice Chair
- Elect a County Party Treasurer
- Elect a County Party Secretary
- Elect such additional officers that are required by the county party constitution or bylaws (in Linn County we have a Second Vice Chair)
NOTE: Individuals are not required to be precinct committee persons to be elected to any of the offices described above. However, if they are not precinct committee persons and serve as an executive officer of the county central committee, they may not vote.
