Today the challenge begins. The Primary is over and our candidates have been selected. It is now our job to elect our Slate of Democrats. How do we do this?

We can volunteer our time. Our candidates need folks to make telephone calls, deliver absentee ballots, canvas precincts. We can host a house party for our neighbors to 'meet and greet' our candidates. We can write a letter to the editor of our newspaper in support of our candidates. We can walk or ride in the upcoming parades supporting our slate of candidates. We can invite neighbors and friends to attend the many events we will be hosting (potlucks, Demstock, central committee meetings, headquarters) where they can meet our candidates. We can write a check (big or small) so our candidates can wage an effective media outreach.

We have 145 days to meet and defeat our opponents challenges. The way we will win these elections is to demonstrate to Iowans that we have the best candidates. We can only accomplish this task by working to ensure our candidates' messages are heard and understood. The clock ticking & we need your help.
